I use a Canon Rebel XS with a 50mm f/1.8 lens and a speedlite (external flash) 98% of the time. I don't know much about Nikons or what lenses are available to use with them unfortunately. I can ask my friends who do shoot with a Nikon and see what they suggest though!
What kind of camera and lense are your favorites? I just got a nikon ds3100 and am thinking about buying a 50mm lense to play with...
