Pics coming tomorrow! Both the keyboard and mouse batteries died on our desktop (where I do all my photo storage & editing) and are currently charging.

What else is coming tomorrow?! My new lens!!! I've been tracking it and it just went through Seattle. I hope we're on the earlier end of the delivery truck route :-D

No pictures yet, I haven't taken any yet today :)

BUT...

I just ordered my new lens and I'm getting it on THURSDAY!!!!! (yes that required all caps and multiple exclamation points)

I was going to send it to Seattle since a) I have a bit more time on my Amazon Prime trial and could use free 2 day shipping, and b) we'll be there next week. However, upon check out I realized sending it to Seattle meant I needed to pay tax and it was a BIG chunk of money. So, I paid much less to just have it shipped 2 day to Anchorage :)

Can't wait to use it!

Harper turned 21 months so we did her 1 3/4 photo today.

I only got one smile, but it was a total "Harper show Mommy your smile!" smile.

These are pretty much all SOOC (straight out of camera) with very minimal tweaks in editing. I love natural light and can't wait until we get to Seattle because my parent's house has TONS. 

Marin rolled back to front for the first time today! Here are a couple pics of her attempting it before it actually happened.

We taught her how to do a gymnastics "ending" pose. I especially love how she has a paci in one hand and an animal cracker in the other.

2 months down...10 months to go!

With my P365 last year I made it to February 27th, but also posted one last pic on March 3rd so I've made it longer in consecutive days so far! Yay! After March 3rd I'll officially made it longer overall. Go me!

I took a lot of pictures today. 

Funny how on the days I wake up and think "maybe I'll just skip today", I end up taking TONS. So I have a lot to share.

Though once given a paci and an Ugly Doll, Marin seemed a bit more content :)

One of the (many) times I wish I had a video camera on my DSLR. She was singing to her baby doll and I just about melted into a puddle.

I have no idea what to even call this face. Concern? Worry? Pooping? All of the above? Whatever it is, it's cute and I think I actually nailed focus on her eyes! Though I'm a horrible judge of this as I really need an eye exam and new glasses.

In exciting news...

Aaron is letting me use part of our tax return for a new lens! I've been wanting a good walk around, versatile lens for awhile and had my eye on a very expensive Canon lens. Since that particular lens is way out of the current budget, I am getting a comparable one from another brand that has great reviews and is less than half the price. It will be PERFECT for pictures of our adventures in Seattle this spring :) I likely won't be getting it until we move down there but I'm SO SO SO excited already. I've been in a major rut (as I believe I've mentioned a few times) and having something new to learn and play with should help that.

I've fallen off the 12 weeks course wagon. I plan to hop back on soon but will likely be skipping lesson four as it focuses on on board flash vs. no flash and I have an external flash. I may even skip to whichever lessons deal with focus & composition as those are my biggest "need to work on" (aside from post processing) right now and I want to spend some time practicing on those!

Aaron's working a day shift today and wasn't here when Harper woke up (at 9am, and she went to bed at 7pm! Holy sleep batman!) so I brought her into bed with Marin & I for snuggles and to watch a little Yo Gabba Gabba on my iPod touch. She settled right in next to M, and even put her arm around her and made sure that her little sister could watch with her :) Such a sweet moment. Totally worth almost twisting my ankle on the laundry pile in the hallway to get my camera to capture this!
